Learning Objectives:  

  • Learn the basic principles and values of Restorative Justice.
  • Develop critical awareness of needs and roles of victims, offenders and communities involved in violence and crime.Facilitate the adoption of a systemic approach to understand and address crime and justice.
  • Examine different models of applications of Restorative Justice through the use of videos of real life situations and role plays.
  • Acquire skills and tools for applying restorative, alternative models of justice aimed at repairing and healing the effects of crime.
  • Learn to apply restorative strategies to conflict and crime in local contexts for building a culture of peace, justice and reconciliation.
